You won ’t have to look far to see art of every kind including original, contemporary and traditional arts and crafts. You ’ll find an eclectic variety of galleries, boutiques and shops throughout the Cowichan. Many of our artists open their studios year round offering a wide selection of decorative and functional pottery, one-of-a-kind jewellery, paintings, woven goods, carvings, stained glass, sculpture and First Nations arts.

The Finer Things Gallery was created to visually stimulate and showcase all the talent around the Island. Corinne Leech - Owner was born in Victoria and resides in Shawnigan Lake with her husband Brent and their three children. "I have been involved in the community for 10 years and wanted to be able to share all the beauty of the art in the area." The Gallery of Functional Art
Located at 341 C First Ave. in Ladysmith, This colourful space is filled with a variety of ceramics, including founder of the gallery Lois Romanow's' own, and even Tozan-fired work from our Tozan society's Noborigama and Anagama kilns.
